Ashley Slater

Ashley Slater was born April 17, 1991 in Joplin, Mo to Don and Donna Slater. Ashley graduated from Webb City High School in 2009 and attended Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, Ks for one semester. As an adult, Ashley worked at Walmart and Target department stores (both in Joplin) as a cashier, and at Mercy Hospital as a Security Dispatcher.

Ashley enjoyed creating and using her artistic abilities to encourage and bless those around her. She enjoyed knitting, gaming, graphic design, and spending time with her cats. Ashley also loved spending time with her family and her friends.

Ashley passed away on July 9, 2025 in her home surrounded by family and loved ones. Ashley is survived by her mother, Donna Slater, and stepfather, Glen Newman, her father, Don Slater, and stepmother, Karen Slater. She is also survived by her brother, JR Slater, and his wife, Angie Slater, along with her niece and nephew, Aidan and Laney Slater. She is also survived by her best friend, caregiver, and older sister Candi Slater.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the pavilion at Hatten Park in Webb City, Mo on July 19, 2025, at 10 am.

All are invited to join us as we remember the life of this amazing young lady who loved Jesus and served others.
