(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Beth Ann Gilbert was born to William Thomas Greer and Doris (Hirshey) Greer on September 4, 1968, in Joplin, Missouri. She was precious, the youngest of five, always thinking of others.
Beth passed away at the family farm on July 13, 2025, at the age of 56 after a 17-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver Ron Gilbert, daughter Cassie Foster, son Martin Foster, sons Austin and Garrett Gilbert, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother Doris Greer, her sister Katy Greer-Ross (John), her three brothers, Dr. Samuel Greer (Kim), Daniel Greer, Dr. Scot Greer (Diana), cousin Ken Hirshey, Jr. (Dena), and twenty nieces and nephews. Beth’s father, William Greer, passed away May 18, 2025.
Beth was a joy to our extended family with her generous, compassionate personality. She was talented in music, poetry, creative ballooning and crochet art. She was a game leader at gatherings and the life of the party when we watched K.C. Chiefs football games on television.
Beth graduated from Diamond High School as Valedictorian in 1986. She was on the Missouri State Champion volleyball teams. She was an athlete who loved playing with her winning teammates and friends including her sister Katy. Beth was in Math League, FBLA, National Honor Society, Senior Class President, FFA chapter President and State Farmer.
Beth attended MSSU in the Honors program and on a volleyball scholarship. She was the team setter both years. She transferred to the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Pharmacy graduating in 1992, after which she worked as a Registered Pharmacist for over thirty years.
Beth was a member of West Union Church of Christ and Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. “She was a fine example of a Christian woman”, as quoted from a church Elder.
Memorial Services and Celebration of Beth’s life are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. with interment at Powers Cemetery, 12 miles northeast of Granby, MO.
