Mary Helen Ellingwood, age 67, Baxter Springs, Kansas, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016.
Mary was born May 24, 1949 in Upland, California and had lived in the area most of her life.
She worked as an interior designer, antique dealer and real estate broker for many years. Mary was a faithful member of the Joplin Soroptomist and Welcome Clubs and the Church of Scientology. She enjoyed gardening and completed the master gardening program.
Survivors include her son, John Yaple, Joplin; two sisters, Pat Foster of Arizona and Jackie Koester of California; grandchildren, Andrew, Kandace, Roland; and great grandchildren, Brody, Jaydence, Caleb, Jackson, Zoe and Emma.
Memorial services are planned for Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
