Norma Jean ‘Stormy’ Lewis, 93, Neosho, died September 8, 2016 at her home following a short illness.
She was born September 14, 1922 in Seneca, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd Byron and Beulah Mae (Mhoon) Keith. She was a lifelong area resident and had been an elementary school teacher at Westview, Hickory Grove, Seneca and Neosho, retiring in 1977. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Stormy married Kermit E. Lewis in November of 1942 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2006. She is survived by two children, Jan Hagenbuckle and husband, Vernon of Clearwater, FL and Wendell Lewis and wife, Julie of Racine, MO; five grandchildren, Kyrsten Crociata, Charles Lewis, Erin DeLong, Kyle Lewis and Barrett Lewis and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Stormy is preceded in death by her parents.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
