William Dewain “Wild Bill” Eads, age 55, of Mulberry, Kansas, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home.
Bill was born July 28, 1961, at Port Smith, Virginia, to William B. and Connie (Carroll) Eads. He had lived in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas, working as a heavy equipment mechanic and miner in rock quarries for many years. As a young man, Bill was a fearless bull rider on the rodeo circuit, an avid outdoorsman who was at home at a campsite, and an accomplished dog trainer who delighted in watching his bird dogs run. Music was a great influence throughout his life and Bill’s guitars were among his most prized possessions. He was a walking encyclopedia when it came to classic cars and had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, many of which he restored or built from the ground up. A hard-working man of many interests, talents, and hobbies, Bill’s true devotion was his wife, Becky, and his family.
On November 21, 2003, at Mulberry, Bill married Rebecca Howell, and she survives, of the home. Also surviving are daughters, Rachel Edwards of Carthage, Missouri and Jasmine Taylor of the home; a son, Anthony Taylor, Nevada, Missouri; three brothers, Leroy (Kari) Eads, Crane, Missouri, Ted (Cindy) Eads, Pineville, Missouri, and DeWaine (Kara) Hammack, Wentworth, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Levi and Emily Taylor of Nevada.
A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23rd at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Thursday. Please come ready to share great memories and your favorite “Wild Bill” story.
