Marianne Hess, 37, Carthage, passed away at her home after a lengthy illness. Marianne Terry was born June 30, 1980 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of the late David Terry and Patricia Essary Terry. She was a graduate of Fair Grove High School, Fair Grove, MO and received her BA degree in accounting/finance from MSSC, Joplin, MO. Marianne was an accountant for Leggett & Platt, Branch 1, Carthage for 10 years. She married Zach Hess on September 16, 2006 in Eureka Springs, AR; he survives.
Additional survivors include; two sons, Samuel and Owen Hess of the home and very special friends, Bethany Kitzko, Makakilo, HI, and Nancy Brake, Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 617 S. Main Street, Carthage. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Ben Bainbridge will officiate. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Rainbow Network, Carthage Public Library or Circles of Joplin, in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO., 64836.
