(From Simpson Funeral Home)William J. Marcus, age 90 of Asbury, passed away at his home December 16, 2020. He was born November 11, 1930 in Denver, CO to Bert and Mary Farmer Marcus.
William married Annabel Berry on August 19, 1950 and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2009. He served his country in the Navy, having fought in the Korean War.
William was the manager of the stock room of JC Penney. He loved being outdoors and shooting his guns. William was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction.
In addition to his wife, William was preceded in death by his son, William Dale Marcus.
He is survived by 5 children; Connie and Brantley Lewing of Asbury, David and Judy Marcus of Asbury, Christy and Harold Glass of Oronogo, Gayle and Dan White of Webb City and Gwen and Walter Aggus of Oronogo along with 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
