Randy Spindler

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Randy Charles Spindler, 67, peacefully went to be with the Lord with his family by his side on July 15, 2021, in Joplin, Missouri.

He was born on September 24, 1953, in San Diego, California to Richard and Virginia Spindler and was the youngest of three children.

Randy graduated from Crawford High School in 1971 and earned an Associate Degree from Mesa College in 1974. He worked at the San Diego Zoo while going to college.

After earning his degree Randy was accepted into the machinist intern program at Solar Turbines. He spent 40 years at Solar Turbines working as a machinist, Laser Programmer, Planner, and Manufacturing Engineer. Randy enjoyed his career at Solar and made many life-long friends.

In 1975 Randy married his wife, Patricia. They met through mutual friends and spent 46 beautiful years together. They were blessed with a wonderful son, Ryan, in 1980.

Randy was passionate about two things: God and his family. He started each day with a Bible study (and would not let anything interrupt his study). He loved his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren more than anything. He was so proud of his grandchildren being ranked in BMX. He loved fishing, the desert, yearly vacations (especially in Mammoth and Big Bear), and after retirement longer trips to Minnesota, the Pacific Northwest, and most recently through Texas to Missouri to visit family and friends. He loved the San Diego Padres and Facebook.

Randy was a fun-loving man. He loved life and was that guy who was always smiling and making you laugh. He was always the last one out the door at get-togethers. He loved having the party at his house - and there were many parties!

Randy is survived by his wife Patricia, son Ryan, daughter-in-law Courtney, grandchildren Gavin, Allie, and Colton, brother Tom Spindler (Teresa), sister Patricia Deck, brother-in-laws Rich, and Dan Wehr, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Although the pain of losing him is beyond measure he's now fully healed and in God's presence.

A celebration of life will be held on a date to be announced.
