Betty Woodrow

(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)

Betty Jean Woodrow of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Hospital in Carthage, Missouri on December 9, 2021, after fulfilling a very happy and prosperous life.

In her 94 years, Betty was known for her class and keen sense of humor. She enjoyed golfing and yard work which included burning leaves and the Sarcoxie Fire Department knew her well!

She never turned down a shopping trip; “If you find something you like, buy it in every color, as she would say”. She was always up for a good game of dominoes or a golf cart ride around town. Betty was most fulfilled when spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.

Betty Jean was a loving wife to her late husband, Bob. She dedicated her time here with the ones who will miss her most, her two beloved daughters: Marilyn and husband, Bill Patterson of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Gayla DeGraffenreid and Ray Renkoski of Sarcoxie, Missouri. She will also be missed by her adored grandchildren; Kylie and husband, Eric Bunner of Prosper, Texas, and their three children, Avery, Kirby Jean, and Rigley, Joe and wife, Katy Patterson of Mustang, Oklahoma and their two children, Logan and Will, and in addition, her two nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob, of forty-six years; sons, Richard and Mike Woodrow; siblings, Wilma Turk, Shirley Davidson and Billy Turk; and son-in-law, Jerry DeGraffenreid.

Dr. Debra Royce will be honoring Betty at her graveside service which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Cave Spring Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Bill Patterson, Joe Patterson, Eric Bunner, Ray Renkoski, Rod Lewis and Ike Woodrow. Honorary pallbearers are Rigley Bunner and William Patterson.

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sarcoxie Senior Center in care of the funeral home. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.housh-goodwinduneral.com.
