George Scearce

Mr. George Raymond Scearce, 92, of Littleton, Colorado, formerly of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Monday evening, December 6, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

George entered this life on August 25, 1929, in Butler, Missouri, son of the late Bennie Oliver and Stella Alice (McGuire) Scearce. His formative years were spent in Butler, Missouri and Tulsa, Oklahoma. George enlisted and served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. 








On August 23, 1959, he was united in marriage to Frances Naydene Adams and to this union one daughter was born, Cindy Mashelle. George retired from Sunbeam in Neosho, Missouri as supervisor in the early 1990’s. His beloved wife, Frances passed on February 15, 2017, a month later in March, he moved to Littleton to reside with his daughter. While in Littleton, he attended the Ken Caryl Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Scearce; and three siblings, Richard Scearce, Doris Trosper and Violet Bolie.

George is survived by his daughter, Mashelle Hollandsworth of Littleton, Colorado; a granddaughter, Missy Kuzava and husband, Evan, also of Littleton; three great grandchildren, Lively, Felicity and Wilberforce; a sister, Christine Barlow of Amarillo, Texas; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
