Lois Elderton

Lois Irene Elderton was born November 5, 1924 in Neosho, Missouri. She entered into rest on November 27, 2021 in Neosho, following an extended illness at the age of 97. 

Lois was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Neosho High School class of 1942. She worked as a telephone operator, as a secretary at Rocketdyne-Teledyne and then at Crane’s Plumbing and Electric until her retirement. 








She enjoyed reading, going to the lake and fishing. She was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church. 

Lois and Homer Elderton were married in 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2006. 

She is survived by a niece, Jeanne Hailey and husband, Rick of Neosho, Missouri and their daughters, Annett Ross and family and Elizabeth Hailey; nephews, Steven McRoberts and wife, Lynn of Winfield, Kansas and their daughters, Tiffi McRoberts and family and Traci Sprayberry and family and Robert Smith and wife, Beverly of Tellahoma, Tennessee and their family. 

Private family services were held.
