Marylyn Rogers

Marylyn Rogers, 81, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She entered this life on July 24, 1940 in Ringling, Oklahoma, born to the late, Willbe and Hester (Bussey) Simco. 

On July 8, 1963 in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was united in marriage to Bennett Roy “Benny” Rogers and to this union a daughter and son were born. 








She worked in Logistics for Wal-Mart for over 20 years. Marylyn enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, bowling, gospel singing and was definitely a foodie. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marylyn was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Lanagan, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Benny Rogers.

Marylyn is survived by her daughter, Susan Mitchell and husband, Michael, of Lanagan, Missouri; a son, Bill Rogers and wife, Karla of Anderson, Missouri; four granddaughters, Nicole, Katie, Zoe and Megan; a great-grandson, Zeke; brother, Dennis Simco of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister, Carol Shelley of Craig, Colorado; along with a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Marylyn.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in the Lanagan Cemetery with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
