Ed Sprenkle

Richard E. "Ed" Sprenkle, age 86, of Stockton, Missouri passed away April 28, 2022.

Ed was born February 6, 1936 in Neosho, Missouri to Robert Edward Sprenkle and Lillie Ellen (Murphy) Sprenkle. Ed graduated from Nevada High School in the class of 1954. On September 1, 1961, Ed married Bernice Francis Seltz in Abilene, Texas.










Ed served in the United States Air Force from 1954 - 1974. After retirement from the Air Force, Ed worked as a mechanic, drove a school bus, and owned and operated Bronte Exxon Station in Bronte, Texas. Then in 1986, Ed had the opportunity to fulfill his life dream and bought his family's cattle ranch in Jerico Springs, Missouri, where he lived out his life. He also drove a school bus at Stockton, MO., during this time. Ed was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; one son, Wayne Sprenkle and his wife Toni of Jasper, Missouri; one daughter, Lenda Curry and her husband Vic of Pineville, Missouri; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Daniel Sprenkle and Leroy Sprenkle; and one sister, Mary Ann Lolly.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Hazel Green Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri.

Masonic Rites will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2022 with visitation to follow from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.
