(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Helen Louise Morris, 75, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2022 at her residence.
Helen entered this life on June 13, 1946, in Monett, Missouri, daughter of the late Milford and Thelma (Carpenter) Shockley. She resided in Aurora, until moving to Neosho, in 1964, her senior year in high school.
On September 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Clarence Morris and to this union three children were born, Gregory, Kimberly and Brian.
For several years Helen worked in the cafeteria at Hudson Foods in Noel. In 2017 she retired as security supervisor at Outpost Casino, a position she held for nearly twenty years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and card games, along with motorcycle riding, shooting pool, camping, water volleyball or anything that involved friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Belva Houston, Sandra Horn and Barbara Shockley; and one brother, Raymond Shockley.
Helen is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Clarence Morris of the home; three children, Gregory Morris, Kimberly Warren and husband Derek and Brian Morris and fiancé Sherry Stephenson, all of Anderson, Missouri; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Kevin Smith of Monett, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday evening, June 10, 2022, from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
