Tom Heskett

William Thomas “Tom” Heskett, III, age 59, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Mercy of Joplin with family at his side.

Tom was born September 22, 1964 in Meade, Kansas, son of the late William Thomas “Tommy” Heskett, Jr. and Vivian Carol (Rist) Heskett of Joplin. He grew up in Liberal, Kansas where he attended school. 

He worked his adult life in the Oil Fields in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico, and any place he was asked to work. He enjoyed his job, but his biggest joy was spending time with his sons, Lance and Landon. He also enjoyed playing golf in the several states he worked. He will be missed by many.

In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Tiffany, who passed three years ago, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his mother, Vivian (Rist) Heskett of Joplin, sons, Lance Heskett and Landon Grey both of Liberal; sister, Tonya Leal (Jesse) of Joplin; 12 nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
