Sarrah McKeehan

Sarrah Lee McKeehan, age 76, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

Sarrah was born on October 10, 1947 in Lawton, OK, to the late union of Marvin and Evelyn (Baker) Slimp. She grew up in a military family and traveled around the world with her parents, whenever her dad was restationed. 

On December 15, 1963, she married David McKeehan in Mountain Home, ID. Together they were blessed with 60 years of marriage before Sarrah’s passing. She worked as a waitress/manager for Fred & Red’s for 28 years before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed staying home and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kendra.

Sarrah is survived by her husband, David McKeehan, of the home; three children, David D. McKeehan and wife, Chris, Debbie Chambers and husband, Todd, and Don McKeehan; three siblings, Mary Harmon and husband, Randy, Carol Stanley and husband, Doyle, and Chuck Slimp and wife, Dee Ann; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
