(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Billy (Bill) Lynn Skaggs, of Monett, MO, departed this world for his heavenly home on Friday afternoon, May 10, 2024 while at his residence.
Bill was born on August 26, 1952 in Waynesville, MO, son of the late Charles William and Virginia Lou (Williams) Skaggs. He graduated from Crocker High School with the class of 1971. Growing up Bill enjoyed spending time playing sports and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Bill spent many years owning and operating Friend Print Shop in Monett. He also spent over 20 years as an Interim Pastor, where he served as a Pastor for churches in Marionville, Monett, Appleton City and Elkland.
On May 15, 1987 Bill married Beth Isbell at the First Christian Church of Monett. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Jaythan Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife, Beth (Isbell) Skaggs of Monett; one daughter, Kimberly (Skaggs) Henson and husband Rob of Crocker; one son, Jeremy Skaggs of Crocker; stepchildren, Christopher Ruckman and wife Sara of Leawood, KS, Julie Logan of Jacksonville, FL and Jamie Schumann of Joplin; two brothers, Jeff Skaggs and wife Denise of Crocker and Jim Skaggs and wife Dorothy of Crocker; two sisters, Beth Hardesty of Richland, MO and Jill Skaggs of Crocker; 9 grandchildren and well and a host of extended family.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Bills wish was that people forgive the past and enjoy the future. Knowing that heaven awaits us all. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
