(From Parker Mortuary)Mary Ann Adams, age 92, of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025 with family by her side. Mary Ann was born April 18, 1933 in McDonald County, Missouri to the late Elijah and Martha (Grace) Cantrell.
Mary Ann graduated from Anderson High School and soon married Donald Adams in 1952. She was a proud homemaker, making her husband and children her priority. Mary Ann was a very humble person, but giving in every way. She was of the Baptist faith and though not able to attend church for many years due to health issues, her faith sustained her throughout her life.
Mary Ann is survived by two sons, Jerry Adams of Oronogo and Gary Adams of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Martha Henson and Betty Epperson, both of Grove, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren plus nieces, nephews and extended family.
Other than her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Don Adams in 2001; sister, Dorothy Angell and two brothers, Kenneth Charles Cantrell and Andrew Cantrell.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, Missouri. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. also at Parker Mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
