(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Wayne Henry Roffmann, 71, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Wayne was born July 26, 1953, in Gary, Indiana to Alfred Roffmann and Esther Finke. He was a lifetime farmer. At 16 years old, Wayne ran a 640-acre farm.
He was a founding member of Webb City Farmers Market in Webb City, Missouri. He was also a founding member of Little Lambs Day Care at Faith Lutheran Church in Carthage, Missouri. Wayne was a supporter of local fairs with his watermelon contributions and drove in the Maple Leaf Parade for many years.
Wayne was united in marriage to Mary Lou Achey November 13, 1996, at Faith Lutheran Church in Carthage, Missouri; she preceded him in death.
Wayne is survived by two sons, Peter Wayne Roffmann (Sandra) of Jasper, Missouri, and Giberto Vicente Hainac Roffmann (Reina Honelia) of Carthage, Missouri; a daughter, Mary Eileen Howell (G. Blane); and six grandchildren, Isabella, Peter, Rachel, Sarah, Micah, and Lydia.
Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church in Carthage, Missouri with a potluck to follow. A small internment service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Hackney Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
