(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Virginia Lee Raymond, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Cox Hospital in Lamar, MO at the age of 78.
She was born on April 2, 1947 in Dade County, MO to Elgin and Juanita Francis (Austin) Clabough. Virginia graduated from Greenfield High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry Raymond on February 6, 1969 in El Dorado Springs, MO. Virginia was a wonderful homemaker, and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elgin and Juanita Clabough; her husband, Jerry Raymond; one son, Robert Raymond; three brothers, Bobby Clabough, Donnie Triplett, and Jimmy Clabough; and one sister, Christine Vance.
Survivors include six children, James Clabough, Nita Beason, Melinda Raymond, Naomi Raymond, Donald Raymond, and Francis Raymond; two sisters, Bonnie Woods and Sherry Fletcher; a half-sister, Ethel Harrelson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Pennsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
