Born on November 27, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, Catherine was a daughter of Roy L. and Jeanette Tedders. On December 22, 1966, she married Russell F. Weston, beginning a devoted partnership that would span six decades. Together they built a loving home and welcomed two daughters, a family that would grow in the years to come to include five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Catherine was a woman of ambition and enterprise, pursuing many business endeavors throughout her lifetime. In Joplin, she was a respected realtor with Charles Burt Realtors and a co-owner of Autohaus. She approached her work with dedication and an entrepreneurial spirit that earned her the admiration of those who knew her.
Away from her professional pursuits, Catherine found her greatest joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose presence brightened her days. She cherished time spent at her home, where she lovingly cultivated her flower gardens. She also had a passion for photography and delighted in searching for treasured collectibles, finding beauty in the small and meaningful things of life.
Catherine is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Weston; her daughters, Nicole Douglas (Weldon) and Rustin Harrison (Steve); her grandsons, Tylor Douglas, Weston Harrison, and Evan Harrison; her granddaughters, Kennedy Green and Teagan Douglas; her brother, Roger (Kim) Tedders; and her sisters, Renee (Hubert) Herman and Brenda Tedders. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. and Jeanette Tedders; her brothers, Robert M. Tedders and Edward Tedders; and her sisters, Laurette Tedders, Janet Tedders, and Jaqueline Buck.
The family will gather to celebrate her life in private. Catherine's memory will be a cherished blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
