Billie Jean Couch, age 70, Joplin, passed away at 10:51 a.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Billie was born September 9, 1945 in Joplin and was a lifetime area resident.
A graduate of Neosho High School in 1963, she had worked as a secretary for Head Start in Webb City for several years and also worked at the former 15th Street Laundry.
She married Gerald Couch on December 21, 1963. He survives.
Additional survivors include her mother, Doris Gibbs, Joplin; a brother, Ron Yost and his wife, Roxanna, Spring, Texas; nephew, Jeff Yost and his wife, Stacie, Lake Oswego, Oregon; niece, Rhonda Waddle and her husband, Bryan, Spring, Texas; and seven great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are planned for Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. Josh Branham will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
