Karen Bowling

Karen Sue Bowling was born September 10, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Dora (Bisby) Wilcox. She entered into rest on January 7, 2020 in Neosho, following a lengthy illness at the age of 72. 

Karen moved to the area as a teenager and graduated from Neosho High School in 1964. She had worked at the Neosho Public Schools Food Service, Moark and retired from Sunbeam in 1996. She loved her grandchildren and had a special talent for gardening; she enjoyed arts and crafts and was a very social person. She had a special affection for hummingbirds. She was a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church. 

Karen and Donald Bowling were married on December 28, 1963 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2017. 








She is survived by two children, Michael Andrew Bowling of Neosho and Rhonda Sexton and husband, Jimmy of Neosho; six grandchildren, Miranda Bowling, Madeline Link and husband, Joey, Laurel Sexton, MyraGale Sexton, Wyatt Sexton all of Neosho and Dana Bowling of Joplin; two great grandchildren, Fletcher Link and Wilder Karlinsky; two brothers, Tommy Wilcox and wife, Nancy of Wichita, Kansas and Robert Wilcox and wife, Debbie of Neosho and sister in law, Gidge Wilcox of San Diego, California. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wilcox.
