Vera Marjorie (Kimbrough) Littlefield, age 84, of Carthage, Missouri passed away Monday evening, December 30, 2019.
Vera was born July 28, 1935 in Newton County, Missouri to the late Homer and Nadine (Barker) Kimbrough. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Stella High School in Stella, Missouri, and later attended the Draughon Business College in Springfield, Missouri.
Vera married Donald “Don” Gene Littlefield on November 25, 1954. They had two children. Vera worked on the farm alongside Don and also worked as a secretary at Boeing, Daisy BB, Buddy L, and La-Z-Boy.
Vera’s many hobbies included sewing, gardening, and painting; but her favorite hobby was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Vera was a member of the Stella United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on September 25, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Nadine Kimbrough, as well as her brother, Paul Kimbrough.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Lee (James) of Carthage, Missouri; a son, Timothy Littlefield (Mary) of Stella, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew Littlefield (Amelia), Amanda McCluskey (Ryan), Elizabeth Janisch (C.J.), Joanna Lee; and seven great-grandchildren: Miles Littlefield, Connor McCluskey, Martin McCluskey, Liam Janisch, Blaine Janisch, Blake Janisch, and Baylea Janisch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Stella United Methodist Church in Stella, Missouri. Interment will follow the service at Union Cemetery in Stella.
