(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Guy James Bohnstedt, Jr. of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home. He was 72.
Guy was born April 30, 1948 in Joplin, MO to Guy James and Dorthey Allene (Shaw) Bohnstedt. He had lived in the Miami most of his life and was a 1966 graduate of Miami High School.
He was an electrician for Rock-Ten Paper Company in Joplin, MO until his retirement. Guy was a Staff Sergeant serving with the Kansas National Guard for 6 years. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Miami and the I.B.E.W. in Joplin, MO. He was and avid hunter and fisherman and an amazing friend, father and husband.
Guy married Alice Rantz on January 6, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Guy is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Alice Bohnstedt of the home, his children, Ryan James Bohnstedt of Topeka, KS, Travis Knoblauch and his wife Nicole of Alamogordo, NM, Laura Johnston and her husband Steve of Quapaw, OK and Codi Cook and her husband Ryan of Seneca, MO, 1 sister, Nancy Abel and her husband David of The Villages, FL and 12 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Northwest Baptist Church in Miami, OK with Rev. Michael Knight officiating.
