Sherry Denny

Sherry Lynn Denny, 60, Goodman, MO passed away May 12, 2021. She was born July 3, 1960 in Pineville, MO to Dena (Hobbs) and Wayne Cummings. 

Sherry was a lifelong resident of McDonald and Newton Counties. She worked several years as a cashier in the Goodman school for the Neosho R-5 School District. 

Sherry loved to travel with her family and she was the driving force behind the family. She attended all the activities in which her grandchildren were participating. She loved spending time at the lake and going to the ocean. 

Sherry and Gary Denny were married May 26, 1978 in Pineville; Gary survives of the home. 

She is also survived by her father, Wayne Cummings; two children, Summer Denny and Johnny Arnett, and Shelby Pringle and husband, Coty, all of Goodman; five brothers, Vernon Cummings and wife, Darla of Lanagan, Darren Slaughter and wife, Virginia of Goodman, Mark Slaughter of Oklahoma City, OK, Adam Slaughter and wife, Eve of Kansas City, Mo, and Darrien Cummings of AR; four grandchildren, Morgan Denny, Devon Arnett, Lexi Arnett, and Avery Pringle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dena and Donald Slaughter; and three brothers, Dwayne Cummings, Charles Cummings, and Lonnie Michaels.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, with Rev. Alan Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Banner Cemetery, Anderson, MO. There will be a time of visitation on Monday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
