Gordon McClintock

Emmett Gordon McClintock, 61, passed away on August 16, 2021 at the Dade County Residential Care Center, Greenfield, Mo. He was born August 28, 1959 at Carthage, Mo. to Emmett E. and Roselea Clymer McClintock. Gordon was brought home to the family farm east of Jasper where he lived until his health no longer made it possible.

Gordon attended the Jasper R-5 Schools graduating with the class of 1977. In high school he was a member of FFA and the football team. His favorite hobbies were always hunting and fishing.








Gordon farmed with his dad until 1988. Following this he worked outside the farm with that last several years at the Leggett & Platt wire mill. He served on the Paradise Cemetery Board, worked with his dad on the Jasper County Road District, was a member of the Jasper Methodist Church, and was a proud Shriner that helped children. He earned crutches for each referral.Gordon enjoyed growing his own vegetables. Don’t forget he loved hunting and fishing!Gordon enjoyed goodstories and was a big tease. He was always a Chiefs fan. He knew every player and watched every game.

Survivors are his son Brandon R. McClintock and grandson Brantley McClintock, Alba, his brothers James (Pam) McClintock of Jasper, Ed (Judy) Dingman of Aurora, and Steve (Donna) McClintock of Nixa, his sister Elaine (Rocky) McCulloch, Lamar, 10 nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David McClintock.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Paradise cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
