Westley Shaner

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Westley was born on October 26, 2000, to father Erich Shaner and mother Michelle Denson Cramer. He is survived by three sisters, Michaela Willis and her husband Tony along with their four kids TJ, Tyasia, Tyzman and Tayzleigh, Libertie Shaner and her son LJ, and his younger sister Journey. He is survived by his older brother Dylan and his two children Takala and Vance.

With many troubles in his life, Westley turned his life around and joined a program called The Forge. In the program Westley gained many more brothers to walk beside him. Westley was in the program for over fourteen months where he was ministered to by mentors, and he ministered to his brothers. While in the program Westley was able to get his high school diploma, learn new trades and get a closer connection with God.

Outside of the program Westley loved to be around his family and friends, listening to music, driving around and watching wrestling along with wrestling his brother and friends. While vacationing with his oldest sister and her family Westley found many other interests such as his love for Collard Greens and walks on the beach.

Westley’s true passion was his love for helping others. He would get up at any hour of the night to help his family or friends with anything as small as being there to listen or as much as to give the shirt off his back. Westley could put a smile on anyone’s face with his bubbly and happy personality.

After being in the ICU fighting for 18 days, Westley finally passed away on July 28, 2022 at 8:30 pm.
