Garett Britton

Garett Wayne Britton, 27, of Wichita, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at his home.

He was born on August 16, 1995, to Tara Mae (Evans) Britton and Henry Britton in Joplin, Missouri. He grew up and attended school in Bartlett, graduating from Labette County High School in 2014.

Following high school, Garett attended Southwestern College and Wichita State University on track scholarships. 








In 2019, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Networking and Telecommunications from Fort Hays State University. He joined the United States Air Force in 2020. Garett ranked Airman First Class and was stationed at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Vandenberg, California.

His mother – Tara Britton of Wichita, Kansas

His father – Henry Britton of Chelsea, Oklahoma

His siblings - Logan Britton and his wife, Brady, of Manhattan, Kansas

McKenna Pontius and her husband, Blake, of Wichita, Kansas

Sgt. Lane Britton of Vilseck, Germany

His grandparents - Wanda Evans of Altamont, Kansas; Robert Britton of Lawrence, Massachusetts; and Wendy Roth of Lamar, Missouri.








He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Evans and Connie (Baldwin) Britton.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Bartlett Christian Church. Burial will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.

Memorials are suggested to Cana Counseling or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. These may be left at or mailed to the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
