(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Dorothy Marie Vickers of Miami, OK passed from this life Saturday, May 3, 2025 at her home. She was 85.
Dorothy was born February 10, 1940 in Granby, MO to Nelson and Nellie (Hicker) Summey. She had lived in Miami for 45 years, moving from Neosho, MO. She worked at Care Nursing Home in Miami, OK for 30 years as a cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Todd, her parents and a sister, Beulah Rumetsch.
Dorothy is survived by 3 daughters, Leona Brittle and her husband Danny of Miami, OK, Beverly Ann Hallam and her husband Henry of Grove, OK and Tammie Ho Lynch and her husband Steve of Miami, OK, 1 sister, Maxine Summey of Joplin, MO, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Granby Cemetery in Granby, MO. Nancy Wilson will deliver the Eulogy. Danny Brittle, Sr., Danny Brittle, Jr., J.R. Hallam, Chris Crites, Brett Hallam, John Tallent and Lane Lynch will serve as pallbearers. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
