Sandra Kay McGuire, aged 54, Joplin, passed away May 3, 2025 at her home after a sudden illness.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Norman & Elzora Johnston.
Survivors include her husband Martin McGuire of Joplin, her daughters Jessica Helms & Brittany Barracuda both of Joplin; Harmony McGuire & Lauren Greene & kids of Gadsden, AL; son Kyle McGuire & kids of Gadsden, AL ;grandchildren Natalee Moore and Lillian Dees; her parents LeeRoy & Sherrey Moore of Joplin; brothers Scottey Moore & Chad Moore both of Fayetteville Arkansas; her twin sister Candace Thornton of Jasper, Mo & Sherrey Kent of Webb City, MO; several nieces & nephews.
Sandra was born September 21, 1970 in Miami, OK. She attended Central Christian Center School. She worked at Lacy's Convenience Store for several years as a manager. She was known as a fun, loving, vibrant person who lit up any room she walked into.
She loved to garden, fish, cook and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. She grew up watching her mother play piano for the churches in the area & her grandmother a well-respected pastor in the area, she was currently attending 180 Church in Joplin. Sandra spent the last several years taking care of her husband. She will be greatly missed by so many loved ones.
