(From Clark Funeral Home)Robert "Bob" Cecil Daugherty, age 91, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on April 6, 1934, to Cecil and Estellah (Cook) Daugherty, Bob lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and a love for the outdoors.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Neosho, where his faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout his life. Bob married the love of his life, Nola Ball, on April 7, 1955, in Neosho, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Bob worked as a supervisor at Joplin Building Material, where he was respected for his leadership and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed being outdoors—spending time in his yard, taking walks, and sharing family trips to Beaver Lake. Known for always having a sucker in his pocket, Bob’s kindness and warm presence made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters: Debra Ann Standefer of Neosho, Brenda Kay Daugherty of Neosho, and Vicki Jo (James) Shallenburger of Neosho; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, James (Trudy) Daugherty of Kansas City, Kansas.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Nola, his son Dennis, and his siblings: Jack Daugherty, Jean Robertson, Nell Goostree, Mary Popaduik, Shirley Lundstrom, Ted Daugherty, and Jerry Daugherty.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
Bob’s life was a blessing to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
