(From Derfelt Funeral Home)David A. Berry Jr., 56 of Joplin, Mo passed from this life on Friday, August 29th, 2025 from heart complications. David was born March 28th, 1969 in Escondido, California to the union of David A. Berry Sr. and Ida (Leopoldo) Cox.
David is preceded in death by his biological mother, Ida R. Cox; father, David A. Berry, Sr, and sisters, Lola Berry and Alba (Berry) Jenkins.
David is survived by his fiancée, Amanda Oxford, mother, Jaye Berry; sister, Jayme Loyd; daughters, Amber Bucy and Savannah (Berry) Frost; sons, Nathan Hoagland, David Berry III and Allen Berry; grandchildren, Sapphyra Hoagland, Roger Alan Reed Hoagland, Rosalina Gandy, Damian Rodriques, Ayden Davis, Aliyah Leatherman, Lunna Leopoldo, and Blakely Stewart; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at David and Amanda’s home, 1202 North Patterson Ave. Joplin, Mo 64801.
