(From Midland Cremation Society)Michael Charles Hunt, 76, of Neosho, passed away on September 2nd after a long illness. Michael was born in Elkhart, Kansas but spent the majority of his life as a resident of Neosho, Missouri. He served 3 tours in Vietnam before he began his career at AT&T and after 40 years of dedication he retired with hopes to have more time for his love of golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Daphine Hunt, his sister Debbie and lost his loving wife Sandra Hunt in 2014. Michael is survived by his children Candace Conklin, Chrystalyn Mosley (Jason), Shanna Helm (Brent), Steven Grant, Marshall Hunt, Russell Hunt; two stepdaughters Jamie Cupps-Chastain (Jeramie), Nikki Burks (Troy); 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Michael had a great love for fireworks, golf, football and his grandchildren. His passion for these will be greatly missed by those who loved him. While not a man of many words you knew he loved you if he made you popcorn in his special pan or went out of his way to come to any gathering where he may be forced to mingle. He enjoyed hearing about all of his grandchildren and their many activities, made sure to remember even the little facts about them and they could definitely get away with things that his own children couldn’t.
There is no closure in death.
Death is something you carry with you.
Grieving is love…
Love is something you carry with you
Always…
You never close the door
Just because someone dies
That does not mean they are not with you.
They watch you and walk beside you
everyday.
We will miss you, Dad.
Family will have a private gravesite service Saturday, September 6th, 2025.

What a great guy…sorry for your loss.
