Wilma Ware

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Wilma Jean Ware, age 81, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life peacefully at her home, on Monday, September 8, 2025, following a recent decline in health. She entered this life on January 8, 1944, in Anderson, Missouri, born to the union of the late Victor and Irene Tomlinson.

Wilma was a lifelong resident of Anderson, Missouri, and loved living on Indian Creek. On September 30, 1988, she married Auddy Clay Ware. Together they shared 23 wonderful years before his passing in 2012.

Many would describe Wilma as a highly intelligent woman, considerate, and an all-around good person. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Wilma was an extremely talented seamstress who worked at the La-Z-Boy Factory. She was proud to have created the first uniforms for the Scarlett Spurs and made blue jeans and baby clothes for her children. When she wasn’t sewing, she enjoyed spending time going to garage sales, fishing, and mowing her lawn. Wilma was quite possibly Tweety Bird's biggest fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Irene Tomlinson; her husband, Auddy Clay Ware; a brother, Lee Aaron Tomlinson; and a sister, Louise Gardner.

Wilma is survived by her children, Dwayne Roberts and wife, Heather, of Anderson, Missouri, Douglas Roberts, of Anderson, Missouri; and Mara-Lynn Freeman and husband, Denny, of Anderson, Missouri; Matt, Dani, Ginger and Lynne; her grandchildren, Antheny, Stephenie, Jake, Jordan, Mackenszee, Felicia, Nick, Micheal, Zac, Logan, Storm, Bub, Grant, Dalton, and Seth.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri, with Pastor Scott Leonard officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Wilma's grandsons. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
