(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Charles Lee Daniel left this life on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his home near Arcola, Missouri. He had a courageous four year fight against stage four esophageal cancer. Chuck was born in Oxnard, California on September 7, 1949. His parents, Charles and Norma Jean Daniel, returned to Dade County, Missouri before his first birthday where he remained his entire life.
Chuck went to school at Lockwood and graduated in 1967. He attended NEO in Miami, Oklahoma. Then, he completed a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri in 1972. His farming career started with the purchase of 80 acres during college and continued to increase.
On May 12, 1973 Chuck and Patricia Jones were married and shared over 52 years together. Their family grew to include; son Charles Scott Daniel and daughter Betsy LeAnn Ulrich. All are part of the farming operation that Chuck’s parents started in 1950.
Chuck enjoyed going to tractor pulls, MSU Lady Bear Basketball games, and Greenfield School events. He like to eat out with family and friends. Throughout his lifetime, Chuck was involved in several community organizations. He was on the Greenfield R-IV School board for 12 years. Chuck was a member of the Southwest Missouri Cattlemen's Association, the Arcola Fire Department, DACO Community Foundation, Greenfield Cemetery Board as well as many others.
He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at a young age. Chuck served as an elder and Sunday School teacher at the Arcola Christian Church. Chuck would invite others and welcome them if they didn’t have a church home. Throughout his life he was bold in expressing his faith and his love for God and his church.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles Lowell and Norma Jean “Stanton” Daniel, brother-in-law Eldon Harrison, and sister-in-law Maggie Jones.
Chuck leaves behind his wife, Pat; son, Scott (Sarah) Daniel; daughter, Betsy (Jordan) Ulrich; five grandchildren, Chase (Kiarra) Daniel, Ashley (Seth) Hammitt, Owen Daniel, Eva Ulrich, and Ella Ulrich. Chuck was extremely proud of his grandchildren. He started each one with their own cattle herd with their first calf at an early age. Additional survivors include his sister, Cheryl; brother, Chris; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Arcola Christian Church. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Arcola Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arcola Christian Church. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
