Lorri Ann Harris, age 56, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Galena Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
Lorri was born November 6, 1960 in Joplin, daughter of the late Sharon Rose Peterson. Lorri attended Joplin Schools, and graduated from Parkwood High School, and then earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Franklin Tech. She worked as a Pediatric Hospice Nurse for some time, and then worked for MHMR in the Dallas area, working her way up to Director. She returned to Joplin in 2005 to be closer to her family. She had a compassionate heart which served her well working with the handicapped during her career. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed crafts.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Rose Peterson Burgess, on July 16, 2017.
Survivors include her daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" Cutrer and husband Chris of Amite, Louisiana; grandchildren, J.J. Crumpler, Jasmine Crumpler, and Chance Cutrer; brother, David Harris of Eagle Rock, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Research Institute care of Parker Mortuary.
