Travis Lee Hensley, age 43, Carl Junction, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Mercy Hospital where he was a true fighter to the end.
Travis was born October 7, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona, son of the late Mike and Sharon Hensley. He grew up in Webb City and graduated from Webb City High School in 1993. He worked in construction as a framer, and also was a Karaoke DJ in Webb City and Carterville. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved being in the woods hunting, or spending time with family and friends fishing. Most recently he worked for Carl Junction Schools as a custodian.
Survivors include his wife, Stacey Ann Witt Hensley whom he married on March 4, 2017; his children, Bailey Hensley, Kaden Cupp, Kiley DuVall, and Kolby Nace; brother, Rick Edens and wife Julie of Carl Junction, sisters, Shannon Hensley and Misty Hensley both of Webb City; mother and father in law, Pam and Gary Doke of Diamond, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, and many friends and other extended family members.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jeremie Bridges officiating.
The family will visit with friends following the service at Parker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses, in care of Parker Mortuary.
The family requests that friends and family wear Dallas Cowboy apparel to honor Travis' love of the Cowboys.
