(From Clark Funeral Home)Kenneth Dean Ryan, Sr. was born May 17, 1939 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Thomas Francis and Gardellia (Dix) Ryan. He entered into rest on October 30, 2020 in Joplin, following a sudden illness at the age of 81.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy, 1956-1960 and then two years in the reserves. He worked as a chef at casinos in Las Vegas and moved to the Neosho area in 1999. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, gardening and being outdoors and was a Christian man.
Kenneth and Lorena (Toomoth) were married on December 13, 2014 in Neosho and she survives.
In addition he is survived by three children, Teresa, Jenny and Kenny; one brother, Joe Ryan of Kansas City, Kansas and one sister, Lillian Stogner of Cape Coral, Florida.
