(From Clark Funeral Home)Catherine Gaylene Cruz passed away December 1, 2020 at the age of 89 years, eleven months, and twenty days. Catherine was born December 12, 1930 in Carthage, MO, the daughter of Avery and Bonnie Jeffers, who are both deceased. She was the sister of Maxine Cullum, also deceased.
Catherine worked at Southwestern Bell as an Operator. Pacific Bell in the billing department as a Representative. San Jose hospital as a LVN Nurse in the Pediatric Department.
Catherine volunteered with Catholic Charities while overseas.
Catherine was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, with the chapter in Neosho, MO.
Catherine retired to raise a family in California. After Catherine raised her 5 children, she went over seas for 20+ years. Catherine joined her husband Joseph Cruz Jr, who was already working overseas, Joe passed away in 2004.
Catherine is survived by 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Due to Covid, there will be a live streaming funeral on 12/15/2020 at 12pm Pacific Time or 2pm Central Time.

Catherine will be laid to rest at IOOF cemetery in Neosho next to her husband and parents.
The family asks that you do not send flowers, instead please donate to an Alzheimer's Research fund at your local hospital.
