Harold McAnally

Mr. Harold Gene McAnally, 72, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, from complications of surgery.

Harold entered this life on December 30, 1948, in Ulysses, Kansas, son of the late Jesse Lee and Josie Leora (Jones) McAnally. He was raised and attended school in Ulysses. 









On November 22, 1971, in Bentonville, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Paula Diane Stone and to this union two sons were born, Mack and Michael. Harold has resided in Anderson, Missouri, since 1971. He retired in 2018, from Agile Manufacturing in Anderson after thirty-nine years of employment. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Harold was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of forty-eight years, Paula McAnally on January 28, 2020; a grandson, Jacob Aaron McAnally; and one brother, Joe Dale McAnally.

Harold is survived by his two sons, Mack McAnally and wife, Amy, of Anderson and Michael McAnally of Neosho; seven grandchildren, Alex Logan McAnally, Nellesha Kay McAnally, Meghan Page McAnally, Natasha Marie McAnally, Zachary Gene McAnally, Aaron Lee McAnally and Emily Jo McAnally; one great grandson, Lucas Scott King; four brothers, Bob McAnally of Anderson, Lawrence “Bud” McAnally of Anderson, Donnie McAnally of Ulysses and Raymond “Toosie” McAnally of Anderson; a sister, Georgia Larey of Neosho; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Derald Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Alex McAnally, Raymond “T.J.” McAnally, Skylar McCauley, Rusty Wilson, Jeff Gibbs and Steven Martin.
