Marion Colene Lynch, age 67 of Joplin, passed away on Friday, December 3rd, 2021, at Freeman West in Joplin, MO..

Born on February 21, 1954, in Joplin, MO, she was the daughter of the late Marion Bird and Etta (Prater) Bird. She was a Mother and Grandmother. Colene was very proud of her family and loved them more than anything. She was a great person to talk to and always had a story to tell. She was very outspoken and strong willed. Many people loved that about her.

Colene is survived by her partner, Roger Hill, of 21 years in Joplin and they loved and cared for each other very much. Other survivors include Son, Jimmie Lynch and wife, Brenda Thorn of Joplin; 4 Grandchildren, Vera Lynch, Jimmie Lynch Jr., Braeden Lynch, and Isabelle Lynch, all of Joplin; sisters, Marlene Smutts, husband Skip, of Colorado and Margaret Horton of Oklahoma; brothers, Virgil Bird of Kansas and James Bird of Joplin and very many nieces and nephews as well.

In addition to her parents, Colene was preceded in death by her son Troy Lynch, her brother, Marion (Vern) Bird and sisters, Marjorie Crandall and Luella Bird.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at College Heights Christian Church, Joplin, MO, in the chapel.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
