(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Peggy Joyce Bennett, 85, of Purdy, Missouri was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday January 22, 2025 while at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on November 21, 1939 in Butterfield, Missouri; the daughter of the late Herb and Bernice (Purdom) Prier. She was united in marriage in October of 1958 in Purdy, Missouri to Glendell Bennett; he preceded her in death on February 14, 2003.
She was retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of the Church of Christ in Monett, Missouri.
Peggy is survived by three sons: Gregory Bennett, Tom Bennett, and Donnie Bennett and his wife Jackie all of Purdy, Missouri; one daughter: Pam Bolm and her husband Tony of Los Angeles, California; one sister: Becca Farris of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Herb and Bernice; her husband Glendall and two sisters: Helen Pollock and Vicky Lyall.
Visitation for Peggy is being held on Thursday January 30, 2025 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services are being held on Friday January 31, 2025 at 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the Arnhart Cemetery in East Purdy, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
