Alice German

Alice Lorene German, age 91, Joplin, passed away at 5:23 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at St. Luke's Nursing Center after an illness.

Alice was born January 15, 1928 in Nashville, Missouri to the late Jacob Wallace and Alta M. Davis Wallace.

Alice worked as office manager at the former American National Insurance office for forty two years, retiring in 1992. She also helped her husband with their meat processing business in the basement of their home for many years.

In her spare time, Alice enjoyed bowling, square dancing and traveling. Family meant everything to her. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.








In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; a son, Gary; granddaughter, Kristy; and a great grandson, Kristopher.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sheila German, Joplin; son, Richard Vantrease and wife, Sheila, Carl Junction; sister, Rachael Dawley, Joplin; brother-in-law, James German and wife, Lola, Neosho; grandchildren, April German, Christy Roy, Angela Dent, Brent Vantrease, Angela Corum, Sassuni Saeler, Lacey Vantrease; great grandchildren, Allison Black, Amanda Black, Amber Black, Jacinda Hoehn and husband, Corey, Lainey Dent, Kira Dent, Kaden Cross, Cheyenne Roy, Skout Roy, Coraline Savusa, Asher Savusa, Jacob Simpson, Cody Simpson, Summer Tate and Savannah Tate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
