Daily Delmar Doss, Sr., age 80, Joplin, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Mercy Hospital.
Daily was born June 12, 1939 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Harry Arville Doss and Sylvia May Rawlins Doss. He had lived in the Joplin area all of his life, graduating from Carl Junction High School in 1957.
Daily owned and operated Daily Doss Realty. His passion was real estate, and he worked as a broker for over forty years. Daily also previously worked for Vickers, Eagle Picher and as a dairy farmer and cattle trader.
In his earlier years, Daily enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball/softball in area leagues and racing cars at Mo-Kan. He was known by many for having the fastest ‘58 Chevy in the four-state area. Daily had a kind heart, loved to make people laugh with his jokes and telling stories. He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
In additional to his parents Daily was preceded in death by his brothers, Delano Doss and Teddy Doss.
Survivors include his beloved companion for many years Jody Neatherry; children, Tonya Doss, Janis Doss, Sherri Doss, Daily D. Doss, Jr., Michelle Lea Baker and husband, Christopher, Christena McDaniel and partner, Travis Sills, Jennifer Brandon, Jamie Brandon, James Neatherry, and wife, Christina; grandchildren, Charity, Daniel, Alec, Troy, Dustin, Kortney, Gabriel; great grandchildren, Kora and Blayze; siblings, Della Verbryck, Henry Doss, Jake Doss, Bonnie Stever, Stanley Doss, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services are planned for Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. Pastor Audie Tash will officiate. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
