Tommy Leo Williams, age 90, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born April 17, 1929, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Julian Raymond and Ruby Marie (Doss) Williams.
Tommy was a cattle famer and a member of the Antioch Church in Berryville, Arkansas.
On August 1, 1949, he married Evarene “Eva” Joanne Perteet in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2015.
Tommy is survived by three sons, Darrell Williams and his wife, Cathy, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Edward Williams and his wife, Kimberly, of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Alan Williams of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Franke Williams and his wife, Lena, of Athol, Idaho; four sisters-in-law, Pauline Demoree of Ventura, California, LaDonna Cline and her husband, Sherman, and Marilyn Calvin, all of Mt. Vernon, and Jeannette Perteet of Apple Valley, California; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Ruby, wife, Eva, three brothers-in-law, Bill Perteet, Franklin Perteet and his wife, Joal, and Kenneth Calvin and sister-in-law, Helen Denney and her husband, Morris.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with burial to follow at the Salem Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
