Stan Murphy

Stanley "Stan" Alan Murphy, age 47, of Monett, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home in Monett, MO with his wife by his side. 

Stan was born in Monett, MO on Tuesday, December 4, 1973. He was the son of Stanley Wooten and Elaine (Murphy) Litchfield. Stan graduated from Monett High School in 1993. 

He married Courtney Sebastian on Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Eureka Springs, AR. Stan was an electrician with Carey Electric. 








Stan loved spending time with his boys and was passionate about his friends. He enjoyed being outside restoring Chevy muscle cars, camping, fishing, hunting, grilling, etc. Stan loved watching the Denver Broncos. He was a member of the Monett Lodge #129, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, and the Jaycees. Family and friends were most important to Stan.
Stan is survived by the following: his wife, Courtney of Monett, MO; two sons, Gavin Bailey and Destry Patton of Monett, MO; father, Stanley Wooten of Ridgely, MO; mother, Elaine Litchfield and step-dad, Kevin, of Monett, MO; four sisters, Aundrea (Gary) Sweeten of Neosho, MO, Jody (Carlos) Gallardo of Butterfield, MO, Misty Cox of Monett, MO, and LaRae (John) Williams of Monett, MO; one brother, Levi Litchfield of Monett, MO; father and mother in law, Mark and Stacy Sebastian of Monett, MO; sister in law, Ashley (Brad) Barnes of Pierce City, MO; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends who will miss him.

Stan was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Stan and family want everyone to know how much he appreciated the benefit and felt like that was a great Celebration of Life in his honor. The outpouring of love that day was very special for him. Stan was cremated at his request and no other services are being planned due to his request.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City, MO.
