(From Clark Funeral Home)Dallas "Doc" Ray Slaughter, 84, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away on March 3, 2025. He was born on May 1, 1940, in Neosho, Missouri, to the late George Frances and Goldie May (Scott) Slaughter.
Dallas married Jaunita Grunden Rogers on June 16, 1968, and they shared 52 wonderful years of love and memories together before her passing on May 15, 2020. Together they raised a family that includes his son, Jesse Slaughter of Anderson, Missouri, a stepdaughter, Connie Locke of Neosho, Missouri, two step-sons, Ronnie Rogers of Goodman, Missouri and Gary Rogers of Kimberling City, Missouri, and sister Georgia May Slaughter of Goodman, Missouri, grandchildren Robert Childers, Chrystle Harrington, Anthony Rogers, and Marty Patterson, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jaunita; his parents; one sister, Joanne Marvin; a brother, Rex Slaughter; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Slaughter.
A proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Dallas worked as a mechanic for Shade Tree for 35 years until his retirement. In his free time, he spent time on the farm, baling hay, enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting on hunting trips in Colorado. He had a lifelong love for the outdoors.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho.
Dallas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will live on in their hearts forever.
