(From Pitman Funeral Home)Helen Lois “Honey” Wright of Wentzville, Missouri stepped out of this world and crossed through heaven’s gates into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2025. Helen was born on March 5, 1932, in Howell, Michigan to Archie and Edna Fournier. Honey was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great and great, great grandmother.
She is survived by her five children, Mark (Kappy) Wright of Tulsa Oklahoma, David (Nancy) Wright of Grants Pass, Oregon, Mary (Bill) Hubbs of Wentzville, Missouri, Matthew (Chungmin) Wright of Medford, Oregon and Michael Wright of Carthage, Missouri. Honey was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.
By whichever name she was called, Helen, Honey, Mom, Mama, Aunt Honey, Grandma, Grams, Ggma, she was well loved by many and returned the love with her huge heart and always a multitude of prayers. Helen was rarely seen without that infectious smile of hers and a twinkle in her eyes.
Helen was extremely gifted in a variety of ways. Even though she wasn’t the most adventurous cook she was a fabulous baker! She loved to bake aromatic breads, delicious cookies, puddings, cakes and mouth-watering pies. Perhaps her love of baking was due to her enormous, sweet tooth which she passed down to so many of us! She was talented in assortment of other ways as well. Over her lifetime she did silverwork, large loom weaving, dressmaking, crocheting, knitting, cross stitch, needlework, stained glass projects and was the creator of a multitude of beautiful quilts. While creating her projects she always had in mind a person who would enjoy receiving whatever she produced.
Helen also loved to go outside and enjoy gentle strolls, she loved to work in the garden and take pictures of just about anything. She loved all types of word games, puzzles and was an avid ‘card shark’! There wasn’t much that didn’t spark her interest at one time or another.
As a true spiritual warrior, she was one of the most devoted women you will ever meet. She wanted everyone to know the love our Lord has for them and looked forward to the day she would finally meet Him. She will be missed immensely but we can all feel great joy knowing she is finally “home” and surrounded by loved ones gone before her and all her beloved angels.
As she would say whenever any of us were going to sleep or heading out to go somewhere, angels all around you!!!!!
A funeral mass will be said at St. Theodore Church, 5059 Hwy P, Flinthill, Missouri on May 27th at 10:00 am. An internment will be held at some time in the future in Carthage Missouri.
