(From Parker Mortuary)Janis Faye Gouge, age 86, formerly of Joplin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her home.
Janis was born on February 28, 1939 in Joplin, MO to the late union of Delmar and Oleta (Dean) Petty. She worked as an insurance agent for Freeman Hospital for over 28 years before retiring.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Mark and Michael Gouge.
Janis is survived by her two daughters, Lori Krieckhaus and husband, Jon, and Michelle Gautney.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
